September blooms

At first, I thought I would postpone putting together the autumn arrangement until a little later, as the end of September felt so very summer-like on that sunny day.

Many of the flowers still seemed to be in full bloom. However, a closer look revealed small signs of autumn, for example, some of the clematis flowers dropped their petals when touched.

The first night frosts probably arrived soon, and the selection of flowers would have quickly become more limited.

I feel that autumn photoshoots often become a little rushed towards the end, with the threat of rain looming. The photos first bathed in warm light, but then the tone started turn colder and more grey, but at least I managed to stay dry.

As the previous summer arrangement turned out to be lighter and airier than usual, the autumn arrangement is surprisingly full and flowery in comparison. It continues with some of the same flowers, and the colour palette still includes pale pink and brighter pink tones.

The apple has ripened from green in the summer photo to red (and there were a lot of them this year, by the way!). Among the details, a few small mushrooms and an acorn add some signs of autumn.
